My name is Cecile. I began my love for Middle Eastern Dance when living in Albuquerque, NM. The motivation at the time was not to learn a new form of dance but rather lose some extra pounds that had been put on around, you guessed it, the Winter holidays. However, the fluid movements, music, body control, and feminine vibe that it possessed got me hooked and I have not looked back since.

I have always had a love for dance as it releases built up energy in a fun and gratifying way. As a child I did ballroom dancing for several years, and also loved to put on music (Earth, Wind and Fire, I loved the funky stuff) and dance the afternoon away in the living room.

I have lived in Florida for 2 years now and love the rain. Living in New Mexico’s desert for 5 years makes you miss those grey days. Before that I lived in France where I was born. I would love to go traveling the world again since there is so much out there to see.
